THE BIRTH OF FAMILY BY LOVE

"The story behind Family By Love is unique and personal. During our second home study visit, my husband and I started asking for resources for our daughter. We wanted books to share with her that would help explain the domestic adoption process (open adoption specifically), and we were hoping for something with Christian themes and values. Unfortunately, we could find nothing that matched this description. But that's actually when things started to make sense.

Flash back six months prior to a conversation my husband and I were having one evening after our daughter had gone to bed... I shared with him that I had been feeling a real tug on my heart to write a book. It had been several weeks at that point, and I just couldn't get the idea off my mind. He asked me what this book would be about, and I told him I had no idea. And we just started laughing! 

Now six months later, having sensed a call and having recognized an unmet need, I knew we couldn't be the only parents searching for a resource like this. That's when Family By Love started to become a reality. Pieces started to fall into place quickly. People surrounded me with encouragement and resources. And as a result, only a few months later, adoptive families everywhere now have these resources.
